July 8 to the 20 I will be teaching ‘Pots in Process’ at Penland School of Craft

and then I’ll be at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts from the 5th of August to the 11th

I am happy to report that my work was accepted to several juried shows this summer.  Three flower bricks spent the month at the 18 hands Gallery in Houston and found their way back to me today.  Two bowls are livin’ it up in Chicago at the “bowl me over show” at the Lillstreet Arts Center, and some plates are hanging out at the MT Burton Gallery at the Jersey Shore Clay National.  Another set of plates was invited to participate in a ‘clay and print’ show a the University of Arkansas – Monticello.

In other news, I moved from Tennessee to Vermont and did an awful lot of driving  – all over the mid-atlantic, new england and eastern Canada.  It’s been a great summer all in all.  Two weeks were spent at Haystack Mountain School of Craft building a table.  It was a wonderful challenge to change mediums and wood working – while requiring a great deal of attention to exactitude, was seductive none the less.  I’ve also been spending a lot of time in the water learning the joys of outdoors distance swimming.  Wishing you all a great fall season…

team arrowmont ceramics is hitting the road again.  TJ and I are headed to the university of kentucky to demonstrate and lecture Wednesday the 21 and Friday the 23 of april.
